Students are accepted into the graduate program on the basis of their potential to conduct successful research in areas fundamental to chemical engineering. Admission decisions are based on applicants' past academic achievements, letters of recommendation, and Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores. A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is not a prerequisite for admission to the graduate program. Since the field of chemical engineering is broad in scope, applicants with degrees in other scientific disciplines may qualify for admission. Once admitted, these students normally complete certain requisite undergraduate courses in a program that is tailored to their needs.

In order to be considered, a complete application must have:

• A completed signed applicaton form.
• Official transcripts from each college or university attended - Sealed, official transcripts or certified records of all university (undergraduate and graduate) study must be submitted. If you have attended more than one institution, transcripts from each must be included with your application.
• Three letters of recommendation - These letters should come from faculty members who are acquainted with you and your academic work.
• Applicants from American universities are encouraged to take the GRE. Students should take the Verbal, Quantative and Analytical parts of the exam.
